Admission to French Business Schools such as the ESC Le Havre is by competitive entrance exam. Candidates have to take both a written and oral exam. For the oral exam, the candidate listens to a recorded dialogue and then has to give what the French call a 'synthèse' (structured summary). This is followed by a question and answer session with the examiner(s). Here is one the dialogues from last year's exam. To listen to the dialogue, click on the 'podcast' button above.

Working from home
A According to the latest statistics more than 2 million people work from home in the UK and around 8 million spend at least some of their time in the house instead of at the office. I didn’t realize that teleworking had become quite so popular.
B I think the availability of broadband Internet connections has a lot to do with it. They provide a high-speed way of receiving data on your computer at home and have made a huge difference. Computers themselves have come down a lot in price too. And you’ve got to admit that there’s a lot to be said for avoiding delayed trains and office politics. What’s more, there’s no need to get dressed up in the morning and shaving or make-up are optional.
