EXPLANATION
The man (Ron, short for Ronald) is carrying a match because he's already sold his torch. The woman has booked a holiday in the Bahamas in anticipation of the sale.
COMMENT
It's been reported that one torchbearer sold her torch on eBay for £153,100, which seems incredible. In fact, she's almost certainly the victim of a hoax.
