The scene is the Olympic Stadium. A sprint race is just about to begin. However, a tank is being used to start the race rather than the usual starting pistol. One competitor comments, "I thought they were just doing security".
'On your marks, get set, go!' is the phrase traditionally used to start a race. The 'marks' would originally have been lines painted on the track, but now of course, they use starting blocks in important competitions.
