REPORTER: Dominique Strauss-Kahn, seen here on the streets of Paris, was in no mood for the media on Monday --- the same day the civil lawsuit against him was settled in the U.S. for an undisclosed sum. While the former IMF Chief wasn't required to attend, Nafissatou Diallo, the hotel maid who accused him of sexual assault did appear in the New York courtroom. She brought the civil suit against him weeks before criminal charges were dropped due to concerns about her credibility. The hearing lasted a mere five minutes and attorneys for both sides expressed their client's desire to "move on" with their lives. Diallo spoke outside the court.
NAFISSATOU DIALLO: "I just want to say I thank everyone who support me, all over the world. I thank everybody. I thank God and God bless you all. Thank you very much."
REPORTER: The scandal forced Strauss-Kahn to step down as head of the IMF and destroyed his chances of running for president in his native France. His legal problems, however, are far from over. He is still facing charges in a French court related to sex parties involving prostitutes.
