This cartoon by Andy Davey from The Sun is inspired by news that police services in London will be offered inside post offices, large stores and cafés, as part of proposals to make £500m budget cuts.
The scene takes place in a post office, where an old lady tells a bemused-looking police officer that she wishes to buy two first class stamps, and report a terrorist bomb plot. The humour comes from the incongruous juxtaposition of the two ideas.
