VOCABULARY
The derogatory word “cybernat” was initially coined by Lord George Foulkes as a term of abuse for online supporters of the SNP (Scottish National Party). The nickname is viewed with great derision by the mainstream media (mostly Labour supporters), the opposition parties and to a large extent even by SNP party managers because it is regarded as being wholly negative. Cybernat is a portmanteau of "cyber-" (involving, using or relating to computers, especially the Internet) and "nationalist".
