REPORTER: This bakery is buttering up their customers.
HANNAH O'ROURKE, LOVE'S OVEN BAKERY MANAGER, SAYING: "Here we're making our butter. We have probably 5 recreational orders to prepare right now. But each order is about probably 10 times the size of our typical medical orders."
REPORTER: Love's Oven bakery is one of the first state-licensed marijuana retailers in Colorado. Starting January 1st, pot will be legally sold, and taxed, at specially regulated shops.
HANNAH O'ROURKE, LOVE'S OVEN BAKERY MANAGER, SAYING: "All recreational products have to be 100 milligrams or less. As to medical marijuana, we sell like 4-thousand milligram cups of butter."
REPORTER: Packaging will change too, making it child-proof.
CHEF HOPE: "These are 5 milligrams a piece, and we put 20 of these in a package. These are the Love by the Grams"
REPORTER: The bakery will differentiate between recreational and medical products.
CHEF HOPE: "There's other items on our recreational menu that are not available for medical. More things that are for the one time tryers or first time users like caramels, and we also do funny things like misfortune cookies."
REPORTER: But for retailers in Denver, the fortune is theirs.
