French President François Hollande visited Britain on Friday for his first UK-France summit with British Prime Minister David Cameron. The build-up to the summit has been dominated by revelations about the French president's private life. Mr Hollande recently ended a seven-year relationship with former first lady Valerie Trierweiler after a media report - which he has not denied - that he was having an affair with actress Julie Gayet. After holding a press conference at RAF Brize Norton air base in Oxfordshire, the Prime Minister treated his French guest to lunch at his local, The Swan Inn in Swinbrook, a boutique Cotswolds gastropub on the banks of the River Windrush. The cartoon by Matt from the Daily Telegraph links Hollande's visit to the floods which have devastated large swathes of southern England over the past few weeks. A local resident is shown stacking up sandbags in front of his front door — ostensibly to protect his home from the floods. However, he says the sandbags have nothing to do with the floods — they're to keep his wife safe from the philandering M. Hollande!
