A relaxing session in the hotel sauna turns to embarrassment for one poor chap. But, who's that lurking behind the steam? Why, it's none other than celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay!
LESSON IDEAS
This is one of those ads which is perfect for getting half the class to watch and then tell a partner what happened. Or for stopping just before the end (34s) and getting the class to guess the product. You could also focus on the use of 'should have' (here contracted to "should've") to talk about a past action which didn't happen, causing regret. See here for more on this grammar point.
VOCABULARY
The name of the optician's, Specsavers, contains the word 'specs', which is short for 'spectacles', another word for glasses. The idea being that you will save money if you buy your glasses there.
MORE STUFF
Here's another Specsavers ad with a slightly bigger budget and hundreds of bikini-clad beauties. It's a spoof of a popular (I wonder why) Axe ad (19m+ views on YouTube).
