This cartoon by Paul Thomas from The Express relates to the agreement signed by UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond granting the Scottish government the power to hold a referendum on independence in 2014.
THE CARTOON
Two Loch Ness monsters are discussing the referendum agreement. One tells the other, "I might go and live in the Lake District if the Scots vote for independence."
EXPLANATION
The Lake District is a national park situated in the north-west of England. Clearly, the monster is not a supporter of Scottish independence!
GRAMMAR
Note the use of 'might' to express possibility. It's not certain that the monster will move to the Lake District, it's only a possibility.
